Gauge Cluster.

Hey, Does Anyone Know If The Gauge Cluster From A 1994 Civic Ex Will Fit In A 1988 Civic Dx. Their Both 5-speeds. The Reason I'd Like To Do This Is The 94 Has A Tach. Thanks So Much Again. Tk

Re: Gauge Cluster.

No worky unless your willing to convert over to electical vss and do some custom wire switch-a-roos on there. In fact, I don't think It's every been done. I've seen 6th gen, rsx, s2000's and integra clusters of later years in there, but no 5th gen. GL

He's got an 88 and we all know a 91 won't work.

Emil is the one with the Eg dash in his EF.

Re: Gauge Cluster.

Why can't a 91 be made to work in a 88?

I'm sure it can be made to work, but it doesn't just plug right in. Jeez...

If you just plug it in then you will burn a fuse or the cluster itself......i did when i tried to put a 91 in a 89 civic......to get it working ypu will have to get the 88 and 91 clusters wire schematics.....you will have to change the wire positions on the connectors.....some are the same on the 88 and 89.
If u rewire it correctly it will work
