Re: engine swap

Entirely possible, and has been done many times before. Look around on focaljet.com. I know there are a few people there who have done just what you want to do and would be able to help you much better then I could if you're seriously considering this.

Re: engine swap

If you are gonna spend the time and money to swap a zetec use the SVT motor and tranny it will be more worth it, and you will get a smooth reving 6spd

Re: engine swap

well i was reveiwing some of these forums... and i read that you guys say the duratec has more power potential than the zetec.AND cosworth i seen on the net lasnight, is making parts for the duratec now...and quite a few of them..so im thinkn maybe a duratec swap now,or ima juss trade in the se for the zts which has the 2.3 duratec

Re: engine swap

the 2.3 is only in the ZX4 ST, and its a better motor over all, but if you bought a SPI you either didnt know what you were buying or wernt loking to mod.

Personaly Im not getting rid of my Zetec unless there is an Ecotec or v8 in the deal.
