Car dies when put into Park

I have a 1994 M.GM--As of the past week or so, whenever i put my car into park after driving, the car dies... same thing when i put it in neutral. any ideas whats wrong?

I had a similar problem with my 93mgm. it eventually got to the point I had to keep my foot on the gas at all times to keep it from stalling. It turned out to be a faulty idle control ($119.oo plus instalation).

Clean the idle control with carb cleaner.
