Buy High Mileage Vette
I've owned a number of vettes but all new & sold them before 50K mi. I'm looking to pick one up for my son in the $7-$8K range & found 93-96 w/120K-140K mi on them. What kind of problems/expences do high mileage Vettes typically have barring being driven into the ground or the obvious Shocks brakes and normal wear & tear.

I had an 89 with 60k when i bought it. I sold it around 130k.
It seemed like every time i went to fix it, it cost $300. No matter what it was. Brakes, u-joints, PCM, tune up, etc. All I can say about an 89 with high miles is $800 for tires!!!??? I understand that you got to pay to play. It was a fun car. 150 mph fiberglass coffin.  I miss that car and wish I hadnt got rid of it. My pocket book just couldnt take any more playing. What ever you do, make sure it has a TPI motor if you go with a pre 90s C4. The 84 and 85 had crossfire injection. All thats good for is a boat anchor. 91 to 95 were pretty trick cars. They had a lot more power and more creature comforts.

If you can find a 93-96 for $7000-$8,000 you would be doing real well IMHO...
I think when you test drive a car you can feel what it is going to need... Good luck/skill!

Thanks for your responces. I have found numerous vettes in that range here in Florida. In fact I looked up NADA $ and Trade in 6K Private Sale 7K Retail 8K. Time to start taking rides.
