Put it in park while moving

The other day, I was in a hurry, and put my Tundra in park while it was still moving, maybe 2-4 mph. Yes, I heard the Clink/Stress release noise. However, since then all seems fine. Does anyone have any opinions about damage, etc... I dont think anything's broken/damaged since the truck acts normal. However any feedback is welcome, and yes, I know having done this was dumb.

Re: Put it in park while moving

I wouldnt worry about it the ratcheting noise happens on all cars and trucks when you dont completely stop before you put it into park. Its not a good Idea to do this on a regular basis but on screw up every now and then will be ok
