2 Ferraris, 2 Mercedes, a Jaguar, Wolf, Talbot and...a Spit!
Yesterday I had a few good friends over on visit, and we decided to have a look in my modeling room. I didn't notice it myself, but in fact I am working at quite a bit of projects simulatiously "So why don't we get to see pictures of those projects?" asked Huudo. Ans he was right. Therefore I gathered my wip-projects and started making pictures.
Here we go. In between Toleman-waiting-times I'm busy doing some work at : my 1981 Ferrari 126C : ![]() my 1995 Ferrari 333SP : ![]() my 1957 Jaguar D-type : ![]() my 1954 Mercedes W196 : ![]() my 1955 Mercedes W196 : ![]() my 1950 Talbot : ![]() my 1979 Wolf : ![]() my 1940 Spitfire : ![]() Yes, yes, a plane which was lost between a bunch of cars! I can't believe it! ![]() And finally a group picture : ![]() How fast and in which order these projects will progress I can't say, but I promise to keep you guys posted. funny you should put the spitfire in there, years ago, after the war a man by the name of Ian Dodds (i believe) put a merlin engine into a Rolls Royce, he named "The Beast". RR denied that it could be called a Rolls Royce because it had a different engine, although the Merlin engine was a Rolls Royce engine.

In the meantime I filled up quite some Toleman waiting time with other modeling work :
I fitted the plexiglass windscreen on the Jag, after which I sprayed 2 extra clearcoats over it to mask the slightly matt looking 2 components-glue tracks. So finally there have been sprayed 2 coats of primer, 2 coats of paint and 4 clearcoats on the model. That should do it I reckon. Besides, the model has become so "slippery" from all those clearcoats that I can hardly hold it in my hand; it feels like a fish or something ![]() The Talbot got some attention as well. The poor thing was the only one in the whole lot that didn't have a paintjob yet. So I fitted all the photoetch parts in order to put the mudguards, headlights and suspensions in place : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And after 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of "Tamiya French blue" the model looks like this : ![]() After I will have fitted the few decals this model needs, I will add (at least) 2 clearcoats. That's it for now
