glove box plastic latch please help

1993 astro van ext. plastic latch on front of glove box fell apart, now can't open glove box, any suggestions w/o breaking it open therefore leaving the light on to kill battery?? thanks in advance for help. tam

might you be able to twist the box enough for it to open?
Mine sagged, and is easy to open. And I removed the light in the box, just to be safe.
