Smoked an STI last night

Hey wassup yall, I drive a white 95' 3000gt vr4 w/ a stillen intake, blitz dual sbc boost controller and an unorthodox racing UD pulley...
I am getting off the freeway and waiting on the red light to turn left on serramonte blvd... While im standing there (boost set to 11psi), I see a silver STI pull up to me in the right lane also waiting for the light. As im checking out his car the light turns green and the guy speeds off into the turn- i follow him. I see he has an exhaust that sounds pretty loud cuz i hear it pretty well even with my windows closed. He looks like he wants to race so I turn up the boost to 14.5 psi and follow him as he turns right onto junipero serra blvd. The road is basically clear - not a car in sight... so I pull right up to him in 2nd gear (going 45mph) and rev the engine a couple of times. He does the same. I lower the window and tell him we go on three. I honk the horn and on the third time we both hit the gas. 2nd gear goes by so quick I don't really have time to see where he is but i shift to 3rd going about 75mph and peak over my shoulder to see that he is about a car length behind me. Get up to about 105mph and look over again i see he is about 3-4 car lengths behind. I slow down because there is a red light ahead and he does the same. I give him 2 thumbs up and he does the same as I turn left.
I've never had the chance to race a STI before (I've only owned the car for a few months), so I was pretty happy I smoked him. Anyways, hope to have more stories in the future to tell yall. pz out.

I've driven in an STI, I'm surprised you pulled so much on him. Try going to the Racing>Street Racing Forum and posting some kills also. You'll get lots of interest and responses there.

Good kill, with the mods he has that sounds about right. Plus after 100, the sti pretty much falls on it's ass gearing-wise.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.
