Airbox Mod
I was browsing over at the S10 forums and noticed some ppl was doing an Airbox Mod with their equipment so I thought I would give it a try.
I went to Advanced Auto Parts and picked up a square K&N filter, then just took out the airbox. Used a little bit of duct tape to secure the filter to the remaining equipment for testing purposes b4 I go further. All I can say is WOW!! My 99' Blazer really needed this as I can feel the lower end power now that I have been lacking for a while. Plus I am able to hear it breath pretty good. Two questions here though. How many of you have tried this mod? The plastic piece that is heading to the throttle body still has that screen there. Is it okay to leave that there or should I take it out?

You're better off getting a ebay intake an attaching a k&n cone filter to that... Looks better and is more secure and it's not jerry rigged...

I am going to go with an ebay intake soon, but I have had a K & N filter for some time and what I have done is drilled some holes into the front of the air box to allow some more air. But like rlith said ebay is the way to go with a K & N cone at the end.
