Post Looking for service manuals

If anyone has a set they would like to sell that would cover my 98 Riv, please let me know. I've been watching Ebay, etc. but no luck yet. Any other ideas?

Thanks... You know after I posted here, I checked again and found a set to bid on. I didn't get them, but they did go for $66 or so. Isn't that kind of steep? I paid around $35-40 for the last couple sets I bought for my Caddy and Grand Prix...

Another thing I saw in the ad was that they didn't cover the trans. What's up with that? They usually do don't they? That is one thing I can potentially see needing down the road if I keep this car for the duration of it's life.

Thanks Micker, I'm curious to see what those are like. I'm thinking they are in .PDF format?? Let me know what you think once you've checked them out for a while...

I know they had a special on the Helm's site a year or so ago... I think you could buy printed or CDs, and they were all at half price! Allthough that was when I was looking for my Caddy. I assume they are the publishers of the OEM Buick stuff too??

EDIT>>>> I just went tot he www.helminc.com site... They have that same special on, unfortunately not for my year...

Re: Re: Looking for service manuals

Well, I guess I'll find out how close the 99 manuals are to the 98. I won an auction on Ebay, $45 for a set. I think from what I have read there was very few changes or differences between the two years.

Re: Re: Re: Looking for service manuals

I just got the one on CD. It seems OK but took 15 days instead of 4. Has lot of testing info.
autorepairmanuelcd.com.
Never got any feedback on my starting & stalling thing, so in shop again for me.Why do they want to sell me a car if they can't fix one only 7 year old?
