Temperature sensor
I need to replace thetemperature sensor onthe V6 1998 Mystique--
Where would that be located? The mechanic said it got fried when the serpentine belt went bad and the car was driven hot for an hour. Ithink it is on the topof the engine by the serpentinebelt somehwhere.

Hello!
I have a 2000 Mercury Mystique 4-cyl. I just changed my intake temperature sensor Saturday. My check engine light came back on yesterday, so I took it for diagnostic scan. Code came up for Coolant sensor. Just an FYI, you may possibly have to replace both sensors!

I have a 1998 mystique v6 engine. Your sensor should be on the intake manifold if it is the intake sensor.
