Cool 1993 chrysler Imperial short in computer

I have a 1993 chysler imperial, I have to unhook the battery everytime I turn it off, or it will drain the battery. (it arms itself, and I sometimes can kick the kickpanel to get it to dis-arm it's self. I think thats whats draining the battery. ..any help on what to do? How can I just by-pass the computer? ..OR WHAT SHOULD I DO? Had someone say it may also be the BCM (body control module). Thanks cAP

Yes, it sounds like the Body Control Module is bad. I have seen many of these shoot the craps and mess with the automatic door locks, wipers and digital gauges. I would try replacing that. Remember if you get a salvage one it will display the mileage from the car it came from. You dont have to find one from one with the digital stuff either. You can install a module from a car that has regular analog cluster and no info center into a car that has all of this. My Imperial was eating modules like crazy when I found out the windshield was leaking and the water was running right into the computer.
