blower problems
I finally decided to replace my blower because I'm tired of the squeal for the first five minutes of every trip. I bought a 'unimotor' that came with the cage, and plug. I was suprised how similiar it was to the old one.
When I put it in, the thing runs for about 3 seconds then stops, after about 5 seconds, it runs for 3 more seconds. Then its dead till I shut off the system and restart. I have a 98 gtp, climate controlled. We tried 3 different blowers at the parts store and checked the plug with a test light. The old blower still works when you plug it in, and the test light showed continuous power. HELP |

Re: blower problems
The blower motor for the climate control A/C is different from the one for manual A/C. First make sure that the parts store sold you the correct one. AC-Delco part number for the climate control is 15-8950, the one for manual controls is 15-8949 and they are not interchangeable.

Re: blower problems
you need the 52489322 (Delco #15-8950). Be careful on gmpartsdirect, they charge a ton for shipping, and it almost ends up costing you as much as just getting it at the dealer. The Delco part comes with a new silencer panel, as they usually crack and break when you try to remove them.
