Tamiya Compund in the detail lines!
Hey guys, Once you have polished the model and it looks like you could be hypnotised by the mirror finish, How do you clean out the compund from the detail lines??
Please don't shoot me if this is a stupid question...

Use a toothbrush and/or wet Q-Tip. Wipe with cloth. Done.

Yep - toothpick. Easy as that
 Just DON'T rub with compound too much and be careful of raised details on the body otherwise you can go through thge paint to the primer! I KNOW

I KNOW "you could also just mask some sharp edges(carefully polish with q-tip) or polish a clearcoated finish: when you see colors on your old tshirt just stop (too late  )

I would be careful using a toothbrush if you are ultra-fussy like me. In my experience they leave very fine scratches, even if using soap and water.
Tip: Once while I was trying to clean out the detail lines of a body with a toothbrush, I noticed the can of shaving cream sitting there on the sink. I figured "well if it protects my delicate face (sic  ), it should protect a delicate car finish." I put some over the detail lines just before using the toothbrush, and after rinsing and drying, no visible scratches! From then on, I have been doing it this way.

Thanks Vric, I took a read on P-Man's "How To". Once again, an ignorant Newbie didn't do the necessary!
