new with a 5-yr old Passat

Hello, car friends. I have a 2000 VW Passat 1.8T which I'm quite fond of, despite its tendency to beep with "emissions workshop" messages and to wear out tires too fast. I will be posting questions about some recent problems - but just want to say hallo to those of you who have been here awhile. I'm glad to find this site!
