Question How bad is....?

How bad is drifting on your car? I see most people buying older cars and then doing what they want to them. I dont want to be real serious about it, just do a few drift events for fun here and there, would it be okay for me to buy a car as my drift car and daily driver?

Re: How bad is....?

its possible, but people usually buy a 'junker' that has lsd, rwd usually, and cheap since you will and im saying you will crash into somethin, or run into things, spin out...just about everything will happen to you when trying to learn...

Re: How bad is....?

yea 240 is probably the easiest car and best for a daily driver to drift, many people do buy a 2nd car because if you do wreck you'll have to repair and while doing that you wont have a car, as a first car i just got some car for 500 to use so i dont have to worry about the daily driver getting owned.

Clutchs and Powersteering Pumps will go out quicker. Some cars take to it better than others.

Most go for older cars for: a.) cheap b.) o.k to smash up c.) rear wheel drive

A lot of new cars are FF (Front engine/ Front wheel drive) and hard to drift.

Me, I have an old 1972 AMC Hornet 4-door WITHOUT LSD and I'm practicing all the time, but I just can't do it perfectly.....Yet.

thats what i might do...buy a really cheap, fucked, barely starting car...put it on my name + insurance(i can get my 'own' car on my parents name, if i dont start smoking offcourse...which i dont, and i dont drink either). so when my car is broken(or needs a new set off tires, i'll get the old banger out, fit new tires, and thats 2 more miles on the bangers clock...

i love my parents
