94 Tracer Tranny problem.

'94 Tracer 1.9l a/t. The transmission would shift very hard from 1st to 2nd. Almost to the point where I could chirp the tires if they were bald at only 1/4 of the gas pedal pressed. And now that its cold outside its slipping. Not bad but enough to notice. Seeing this board apparently alot of people are having the same problems. I obviously cant fix it myself. So what is it that needs to be fixed any estimated costs? Thank you!
