Peugeot 206 WRC - WIP

I started another Pug, but this time in other livery.
It wll be opened, and , I hope so, enough aditional details.
Decals will this one from photo, but that can be changed.

I cut one door with SRC blade and I must say that blades are great! It's almost inivisible that doors are cut.

Re: Peugeot 206 WRC - WIP

Nice start Zeljko! I've always found this livery a bit out of my league, seems pretty hard with those decals. I'm sure you'll do a terrific job with it.
The door job seems absolutely perfect. Can you tell me more about the "SRC" blade?

Sure Joel!
SRC - Scale Race Cars scribing blades are great, thin but strong. You can see it on SRC pages, www.scaleracecars.com, price is about $8 for set of 8 or 10 blades, I don't remember corect number.

Nice project. The Silver Team livery is a stunner and the open door will up the degree of difficulty!

Re: Peugeot 206 WRC - WIP

Zeljko,

Just close the door temporarily, place the decal over the door and body panel, take a brand new No.11 blade and cut to shape. Then apply Microsol to the edges to make them wrap around the edge of the fender and door and it will look factory correct.

That was my ide too, but I was afraid to cut rods which holds doors on frames.
I examined decals sclosely and that shouln't be big problem. Only 2 decals need to bu cut, while front part is already cut in decals to shape door. I just need to put some new rods to hold doors, maybe some metal ones.

I could be in wrong but from you decal sheet door's decals are already cutted in back: in front those are too thin: simply do a tape mask and pre-cut them?
