Angry 2001 B4000 clutch

On Tuesday morning, I parked my car at City Hall after driving there to vote. I was inside all of 15 minutes, and when I returned, my clutch was totally defunct. There was no "tension" when I put my foot on it, and I could not put the truck into gear. I had AAA tow it to the dealership, and when they finally called me back today it was to tell me there's nothing wrong with my clutch (this, no doubt, will still cost me a couple hundred bucks, but I digress...). Even if it drove OK today, there's definitely something wrong with the clutch. I live in a rural area, and I do *not* want the dang thing going out on some back country road.

Suggestions? (Other than taking it somewhere else, because in a town of 28,000 people, the evil dealership is my best bet.)

Thanks,

Diqui
