Question Tips for breaking in a new XT?

I'm just about to take delivery of my 1st Subaru - an 06 Forester 2.5 XT. I can hardly wait to get my hands on it. I've also never had a turbo vehicle before.

I'm hoping to keep this baby for a long time, and wonder if there are any tips for the initial break-in period. Take it easy for X miles, or change the oil after the first X miles, or any such?

Also, I've heard from not-necessarily-reliable sources that a turbo is harder on the interal workings of the engine, and that can result in more contaminants/metal filings in the oil. Any truth to that?

Thanks for your help.

Turbo's are harder on engines?

No, drivers are harder on engines when driving turbo'ed vehicles....

Your dealer should be able to advise you of the rest.

Good point, Ray. I guess that's what the turbo is there for, what?
