Angry 2004 Sienna window seal sticks when hot!!!

I parked my 2004 Sienna and left the windows up. It was about 78 outside and when I came back both front windows were stuck. The passenger side came loose but the drivesd side never did and when I tried to make my window go down it make a crack sound and would not budge. I took it into the dealer and they told me a corner of the window was broken and it would cost $250 to replace the window. I explained what happened and showed them the melted plastic residue on the passenger side from the seal. They told me this was not the problem and it was impossible for the seal to melt like that!

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thank you for you reply!!!

I'd have to say that I agree with the dealer. The plastic shouldn't be able to melt at temperatures that the van would normally reach. Did you get any type of solvent or adhesive on the edge of the seal? It should be resistant to alcohol or cleaning solutions, but may have a problem with types of oil, brake fluid, or acetone.
Good luck
