A question about transmission installation
Hi
I have a question about the cost of a transmission installation. I know a rebuilt transmission for a second generation(1992-1995) Taurus(Vulcan 3.0)costs around 700$, but how much would i have to pay for installation? So, i would like to know how much all the Taurus owners here, who have had their transmissions changed, paid for that "pleasure". And is it a very complicated procedure? I mean, does the whole front axle need to be removed and etc.? Thank you |

I priced replacing all the seals in my 2000 ses....which requires the removal and reinstallation of the transmission..... The charge will be $375 which includes new filter and fluid.......The engine must be supported from above while changing the tranny...requires equipment that I dont have....Just not a shadetree job....So I thought that was reasonable......g'luck
