$53K for a R34 Vspec 2

there is this car for sale, an r34 vspec 2, for 53k, and for this price you get the car with a US title..for offroad/track use...
the car is yellow so my first question is where the GT-R's ever made in yellow and secondly from teh few pictures i have i can see it has aftermarket rims..and eyelids on the headlights thats all i can see from the pics...
im trying ot tell if this is legit, i called the guy and the story is hes an importer and he purchased this car in japan for someoen here in the US and its currently waiting to be shipped to the US, but the buyer backed out and the importer paid up front for the car and is SOL until he finds another buyer, and if you buy the car he will import it and ship it to you..for 53k, the car has 12k miles on it
and this seems like a really good deal to me i just dont want to get screwed...53k is a lot of money
so let me know what you guys think...and here is a link to some info about the car

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...e=&cardist=245

if that link doesnt work do a search on autotrader...for unspeccified nissans and you will see it

Re: $53K for a R34 Vspec 2

Two glaring errors real quick....
R35 What?
....and there was no such thing as a '99 R34 Vspec2. They weren't offered as a package until 2001. It is a bogus sale.

Re: $53K for a R34 Vspec 2

i guess the lure of it, the idea of it, i can have a knowledge of what it does and how it works, and i can translate that into an imaginary experience in my mind. Most of the cars i have driven have been, 911's...V8 audis, all naturally aspirated. The rb26det is just a legend, it can handle immense amounts of power and be boosted to about 400hp fairly cheaply compared to lets say my S4...wich has had..over 10K in performance mods and gained maybe 25-35 horses. Its also the all-wheel-drive system that i really like but im sure the new GT-R will have a more advanced system. But the main difference between the new GT-R and the r32-r34 generations is the engine, wich i am quite fond of wether or not i have the right to be im am not sure...i would like to find out, and from everything i have read/watched or seen it just seems ideal to me

Re: $53K for a R34 Vspec 2

An engine is an engine, the RB26 are a pain to work on, and they really are not that cheap for power up grades to boot.
10K for 35hp, screw that. I can build a 700hp car for that price....I am talking the whole car

noone knows what the new engine will be. there are alot of speculations, so its too early to tell. but it is supposed to be bringing 450+hp to the table stock.
