Talking I'm just here to gloat...

I would assume most of the people on this forum ar also on MR2oc.com as well. On MR2oc there is a member by the name of Tristan Hewitt aka "Flupstar" He has his own business called "WTF Auto" and he tunes mainly MR2s. His own personal MR2 is an absolute BEAST it has pulled a best of 11.3 but is definately capable of a 10 second run on his current setup. He just hasnt had a good run down the 1/4 mile yet. And as said before, this car is his dailey driver and runs on PUMP GAS!

Enough backround. Tristan is actually a friend of mine and the otherday he had a BBQ at his house for the local MR2 club which he invited me to. although I dont have an MR2 I have a GT4 Celica which has a 3sgte in it so Im close enough. But I took my new car down to show him, a mitsubishi GTO (3000gt in the US). I knew he was a fan of these as well so when I got there I took him for a spin. He was quite impressed and I let him take it for a thrash too which he enjoyed alot.

to pay me back for the favour, he then took me for a spin in his car. HOLY SHIT!!!! That car is INSANE!! The car starts making boost at 3000rpms and hits full boost at 45000rpms. And when that car hits full boost.... dear god. It felt like big hand was pressing me into the seat. My neck was straining to keep my head from slamming back into the headrest. Words dont give the accerleration of this car justice. It is mindblowing.

Wanna know the kicker????

He let me drive it

Oh fuck yeah.

I was not expecting him to do this in the slightest. I am one of only 4 other people that has ever driven it or something crazy like that. But damm im glad he did. It goes through 1st gear at an unbelieveable speed your chaging before you even realise. 2nd gear pulls ridiculously hard. I coulndt believe the amount of torque in that car. I expeceted 3rd gear to be a little bit tamer, but boy was I wrong. 3rd gear felt like it had the same rate of acceleration as 2nd.

The drive was quick but god damm was it fun.

Just thought I had to share the experience
