95 Lumina Driver Side Window Problem

After I went through a drive-through restaurant today, I tried to roll my window back up, but it wouldn't budge. The window went down fine, but now it won't go back up. The other windows still work fine, by the way. It feels like when I try to push the 'up' button for the front driver's side window, it doesn't have the satisfying "click" like the other ones do when they're pressed all the way down. like something's not making a connection here. Anybody know what the problem could be?

Most likely the switch cluster went bad, easy to replace (1 screw), don't know what they cost for the part.

Try starting the car, holding the botton down and slamming the door while holding it down, mine's gotten stuck a couple of times, and that woke it up.

Re: 95 Lumina Driver Side Window Problem

I also wonder...if you let the auto-down roll it down, it may not have reset when the window bottomed out (you know, that click you hear when the window stops?)

Truthfully, I am totally ignorant of how that works. But I assume it is part of the master switch cluster, since that's where you hear/feel the reset click.

Again, jarring the door while holding the button might reset it. Try it holding the button in both positions. Like I said, it's worked for me, on this and other cars....
