no engine lights come on which doesn't let engine start

none of the engine indicator lights come on. don't know if it's related, but the engine cranks fine but doesn't start. after a long wait, the lights come on and i can start the engine. new battery and plugs.

Classic case of ignition switch. You need to replace it. Use this link on how to do it:

Just be aware that the link provided above is for '97 Blazers, not '95s, and the Ignition switches are different on these two models, hence there will probably be differences in how they're assembled.

thanks

are you sure it's that easy? i went to a friend's shop, he says that there's some engine code or something that when plugged in, the engine will start. i actually was able to start it after a wait, not sure how it was able to start. i just wanted to make sure that it could be the ignition switch, which i had a feeling of. thanks!

I remember seeing similar posts when I had these problems. Searched
back to find them.
