fuel gauge

my fuel gauge moves from full to empty all the time....even when tank is full...it moves all ove the place...any ideas...replace the fuel pump assembly or what ?

yea the sending unit sounds like the ovious, it has a special sealer on the top of the gas tank, so when you put in a new one, it has to be sealed right so it doesn't leak. learned from experience and $400.00 later to seal the leaky gas tank opening after I used the wrong sealer (non-gas proof).
