2002 monte carlo starting problems

We have had our 2002 monte carlo for 2 years now and about a year it started acting up. Put the key in the ignition and nothing would happen the radio and lights would come on but nothing. You would have to wait about 10 minutes and they it starts up just fine. It is doing it more frequently now. The starter is fine and we are thinking it may have something to do with the security. Today it did it again and finally this time when it did decide to turn over the message center flashed bright green. We called the dearlership where we got it from and spoke with the garage and they said that the message center should not turn green it should only be orange and red. Also we were wondering if there is any way to turn the security system off. If any one has any idea as to why the car is doing this please let me know. thank you

Passlock 2 Disable. This is a modification that is possible. Check out this Malibu thread!

Im tracking this down too, but I may have found it. could be dirty 60 amp fuses in the main electrical block under the hood. To illistrate my point at 40 amps it only takes 0.05 ohms to create a voltage drop of 2 volts
