bad ignition-how do i hotstart

someone tried to steal my 1991 plymouth voyager van and did damage to my ignition,the key turns and all power goes on but it wont start,it will start from jumping it underneath on the starter using a screwdriver,i'd like to hotstart it from inside,possibly starting it with a toggle switch if need be,i am not gonna put a lot of cash into a van i plan on getting rid of after the winter,so if anyone has any info on how to do this,please let me know.thanks. They make remote start switches that are fairly inexpensive and can be purchased at most autoparts stores. You can hard wire one and run it into the passanger compartment so that you can start it that way. They cost less than $20.
