Almost killed her last night
So yeah, my water pump has been going out for a little while now. So, I picked up a new one a few days ago. However, I didn't have a chance to swap it in due to work, which is a 35 mile commute.
At the end of my shift last night, 11:30 pm, I head out to the garage and start er up. The first thing I think is "Oh Shit!" I knew from the get go making it home was unlikely, but start off on my way. I make it about 15 miles and, how to describe it, a carnivourous Howl rises from my engine bay as my temp. sky rockets. I immediatly shut it down and pull over. Popping the hood and feeling the timing belt, hmmm whats this, Thank you Honda Gods! There is less than 1/4 inch of teeth left on my belt, but she did not jump or slip! I ended up towing it home with a GSR and a tow strap, and spent 2 hours this morning fixing it, and over an hour has just getting the crank pulley off. The good news is that it fired right up once I got a jump start. Whew!

Re: Almost killed her last night
Nice save man, wish I would have been that lucky. $200 worth of new valves and it still wont run right.
