hello and some help please

hello all im new to this thread so howdy yall. but i have a few questions. i just bought a bike 1990 suzuki gsxr 1100. first bike. but ridin friends bikes. what i need to know is there a convertion kit for the front plastic peace on the 1990 to the 1993 and up.

when i bought the bike i got a crap loud of extra plastics. i happen to have 2 extra 93 and i like them better. also have the lights and the bracket. but the bracket it no deep enough for the 1990 so i was wondering if they maid something for it. thanks.

also can someone explain jetting i believe i have to jet mine down the guy did it to much and it idle carpy he said it needs a tune but it fluds really easy so i think that might be a problem.

the blinkers are in different places, the housing for the headlights is different and the mirrors are different.

Welcome to the forum fragilelife.

Well I don't know of any type of conversions but you could always do it yourself. Just drill out enough of the plastic to reintegrate the signals and see about fabing up a bracket that will fit.

On the other note: Check your choke and make sure its adjusted properly to close when its off. You may be able to smooth out the idle by increasing it a little. There should be a idle adjust screw to do so. This could help a little (i run mine at around 1400rpm when warm), but if its to bad it would be good just to get the carbs syched. I believe it cost around the neighborhood of 20bucks a carb. Usually when they sit for a while things tend to need adjusting.

i found it but i don't know cos the catalog doesn't have pictures of the cowling, just blueprints. i know its there because there are 2 types of cowling for a 1990 gsxr 1100 on the site.
