Lifting
Icktually, I have entertained the idea of doing a 3/2 lift on my 2wd, just to get that ridiculously low front bumper a little more ground clearance, and to level the truck some more. I know there are kits out there. Of course I'd like to go the full blown pre-runner look too!
Let the attacks continue!!!!!!!!

I believe pro comp makes a few 2wd lift kits. Check with 4 wheel parts, or the pro comp website. good luck. I prefer lifted over lowered, but not to ridiculous, I had a friend with 14 inch lift on his 2wd (waste). Just my opinion.

Do not do it. I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 4x4 with a 9 inch lift. and i have been fixing it since i put the lift on. @ 25,000 miles i lost my rearend. I have been through 2 drivelines 10 rear u joints, U-bolts, center pins, front differential, broken CV joints, wheel bearings. too much to list keep it the way it i know my next one will be bone stock after all of the expenses of this one!

But then again you have to look at the people that have lifted their trucks, like Airjam andhaven't had any problems. As long as you take your time and do it all right you should be happy if you decide to lift.

Do what makes you happy and remember that when you mod a truck, whether lowering/lifting/whatever, treat it like what it is. I know my truck isn't a sports car, especially while running a 37" tire, so I learned to drive a little differently.
I still get to tear apart ricers though with my 4.88's and nelson tune  Edit: and whatever you decide to spend on your truck, put aside twice as much b/c thats what it'll cost you in the end. its just how life is
