Driver door stuck closed

Any ideas how to get it opened? I can see all the rods (lock & latch) are working down to door latch. Seems like the mechanism is jamed or won't unlock. The big problem is that if I can't get the door open, I won't be able to remove the outer door panel to remove the latch.
Now what? It's a catch 22 problem. Kinda like the chicken and egg thing.
Any input greatly welcomed.

I don't think a slim jim would work. I think the latch mechanism broken in the lock position. I read at Saturnfan.com that a person needs to use a long screw driver or something and come down thru the window opening and smash the latch to it 'til it breaks open.

roll the window down and look through it and follow the rods or if you cant get into the doors any of them at the top of the door side part put a rubber wedge then use a rod and unlock it

All the rods were connected. I ended up smashing the latch mechanism with a long tire iron and #5 hammer. You'll need the window down and to remove both window wiper strips. Best to but a new latch for about $60 buckaroos to look at before attempting. You see a steel plate that looks kinda of like a leaf. I drove the tire down into the latch between the top and rightside of the plate. That would be between the top and outside of the car when it's in the car. Keep smashing the black plastic until it can be opened. Hope this helps.
