Unhappy Grinding Gears

I have a 90 talon tsi and it grinds gears from first to second.
what to do!

At the very least learn to double clutch. For example : Shifting up is fairly easy, push clutch in, put into nutral, let clutch out, immediately push clutch back in, and into gear, clutch out.

Shifting down is a little tricky : Bring RPMs down to 2000, clutch in, put into nutral, let clutch out, rev engine to corosponding RPM for lower gear (usually around 1000 RPM higher than whatever you where at) engage clutch, put in gear, let out clutch.

All of this has to take place quite quickly.
If it lurches forward when you let out the clutch, you reved too high. If it drags the vehicle down you didn't rev high enough. Basicly when you have the clutch out in nutral you can control how fast your transmision is spinning.
