Chevy SSR. Opinions appreiated

There is one for sale at our local dealer. A 2005 with a 5.3 in it. Asking less than 30K for it,I think.

Whatchall think of the SSR? I dont use a truck for hauling much anymore, but having the xtended cab does make it nice when the grandkiddys come over.

Wifey didnt totally shut me down when I mentioned it. Which was a suprise.

Crap,I should just go and trade in ol` Blue and suprise her

and a big thanks to all here.

Brad

Re: Chevy SSR. Opinions appreiated

Personally, I like the SSR. In fact, I started a thread along similar lines on another board http://forum.ls1truck.com/index.php?showtopic=5034

I personally think they are ugly and wouldn't spend the money on it. But if you like it, and can afford it, why not get it?

Re: Chevy SSR. Opinions appreiated

I was one of the guys who brow beat Chevy on their website for years to produce it. Of course I had NO idea they would roll em out for 45 grand a pop. Needless to say, I don't have one in my driveway.............yet. 30K for an '05 sounds a helluva lot better than 45k.

Yeah, they're definitely too expensive... but I also think that's what's hurting th GTO, but that's a whole new ball of wax

Re: Chevy SSR. Opinions appreiated

get the SSR and stick the grandkiddies in the trunk... they will think its fun! or just drop the top and take the lid off the bed! J/K

I would love to have an SSR

Re: Chevy SSR. Opinions appreiated

I dunno, I personally think the SSR is a bit goofy in looks. However, with a bit of body work and some Fatter tires it would probably look alright. I think the biggest part I hate about it is the big strip of Chrome that goes across the front off the Bow Tie and I'm a big fan of Chrome!
