Question Where to find good online info for free

Does anyone know where I can find good free diagrams and troubleshooting information on specific vehicles on-line? I've done google searches and there are so many pages of crap to sift through, it makes it kind of tough, so I thought I'd ask.

Specifically I'm looking for a site with charging system diagrams, diagnosing procedures and such for my brother in law's 1986 (I think) S-10. Thanks in advance! Mike

P.S.- Don't get the wrong idea, I am open to advice and info from forums, but sometimes it takes so long for replies. When you have a problem you like to get instant answers, you know? Thanks

I personally have a 1992 Mazda Protege and a 1990 Toyota Camry, if anyone knows any good sites for those as well. Thanks all!

Your not going to like this, but I'm going to say get a Haynes, or simular shop manual.

Some are available on disk, but you'll probably have to surf for them

The autozone online site has some info.
But you will not get a hole lot for free.
For the good stuff online Go All data DIY online sub.
Only 24.95 a year and second car 1/2 price.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Where to find good online info for free

I found some free stuff on our local libraries website. Timberland Regional Library has an auto repair database with everything, repair procedures, diagnosing, specification charts and wiring/vacuum diagrams. All I needed was a free library card to log into the data-base.
