www.hondamotorsonline.com
www.importautosalvage.com

hondamotorsonline has great deals at great prices. they have a lot of DOHC, VTEC, JDM, USDM engines. i highly recommend them.

importautosalvage has good stuff too. some not as cheap as hondamotoronline, but you can find A LOT of things from transmission cooler to ECU, and etc.

I recently had dealings with a bunch of places while looking for a jdm type-r swap. I contacted the following places. I used a 1-5 rating system for their prices, 1 being on the cheaper end of the spectrum and 5 being the more expensive.

http://www.hondamotorsonline.com
I had read a post or two about people having difficulty with their engines after a few months under normal driving conditions. I got a response in about 2 days from hondamotorsonline, they quoted roughly the same price (2-3) as everyone else and were fair at answering questions I had about the swap.

Hadn't heard any slander on these guys but they also were not as knowledeable about the whole swap process or did not want to put in the time to answer questions. Price range was about a 3-4.

This site is run by Jerome Soh and was by far the most knowledgeable of any of the places I talked to. I probably exchanged about 12-15 emails between Jerome and myself and every question I had was answered in anwhere from 30 minutes to overnight. I also got the feeling that he was one of the only people who hand inspected each engine he got in thoroughly, much more so that most other places. He also has a wide variety of other parts, one of the only places I've seen a consistent supply of b20 shortblocks. Price was about a 4 non negotiable, but it is really a superior product.

This is where I ended up getting my engine from only because this is the only place to offer a 3 month warranty on what they sell, fully replacing any piece that has difficulty. This is also the only place I can speak from 1st person on his product.

This site's honda section is maintained by Shaan Siddiqui. He was a little slow at getting back to me (I would leave questions on his cell in the morning and would either get a response that evening or the next day, the latter happening more often. He was fairly helpful on answering all my questions about his product, and was extremely helpful in getting all information I asked for about the engine (engine codres, etc.). Engine was exactly as described when it arrived, valve cover was a little dull but my god that was the cleanest engine I have seen. Pristine silver interior and translucent tan oil. I was a little concerned with his payment method, only takes certified checks or bank transfers. I basically went out on a wing and transfered it up to him and received the engine in 3 days from that point! I would recommend this place definately. Price was about a 3-4.

There were a few other places that I tried to contact about this, but these were the major players.

Hope this helps.
