(IAC) Idle air control motor.

My eclipse will not idle correctly. i was wondering if anyone new about ICA motor and how that would effect the idle. Or lack of it in my case. any info will help thanks

Re: (IAC) Idle air control motor.

Sends signals from the engine control module, the stepper motor rotates to extend or retract the pintle, thus controlling the flow rate through the throttle valve bypass. The stepper motor is designed to rotate a constant rotary angle (step angle: 150°) per pulse signal, thus rotating clockwise and counter-clockwise over an angle which corresponds to the number of step signals sent from the engine control module.
It has everything to do wth idle...
