I think the fuel pump in my 93 blazer has failed. It starts & runs for only a few seconds in the morning & then nothing until it sits awhile. Then same thing. My question is the location of the fuel pump(please not in the gas tank) & the difficulty of installation. Also have heard rumors of a "fuel pump relay".If anyone has any other diagnosis I'd like to hear any opinions. Also this failure occured not all at once.It did this once b4 & ran fine the rest of the day. This time I guess it's made up it's mind.
Thanks in advance, Dan Moriarty Newport,Ky |

Re: 93 blazer fuel pump
Your fuel pump is located in the fuel tank. Its not that hard to replace. Just remember to drain as much gas out of your tank as possible. This will make it easier to work with. Type in "Fuel pump" in the "Search this Forum:" to read up on the troubles others has had.

Re: Re: 93 blazer fuel pump
Check to see if you can hear your pump priming when you turn your ignition on. Then check the fuel line and the check valve with the key in the on position. You should have 60 – 65 psi. Anything lower then that is no good. When was the last time you replaced your fuel filter? Now would be a good time to do so first and see if that takes care of your trouble. Let me know what you find.
