Electrical shortage???
I have a problem with some of the lighting and the rear defogger. They work but I think that there is some loose wiring somewhere because for the rear defogger I have to hold down the button for it to function and for my lights on the gear box I have to tap the sides a couple of times to get the Drive, Reverse, etc to light up. Can someone help me out on this?

You're rear defogger switch is bad. When you hold it down it should lock into the down position and stay on. Best look in a junk yard for another. You could also drill a hole under the current switch and mount a toggle switch. Make sure it's rated as high or higher than the stock one so you don't overload the switch.
Sounds like you have a bad bulb connection on your shifter light. You'll have to get in there and probably put in a new bulb with new, clean connections.
