looking into a 7
I was looking for a new car to trade in my teg for and I found a 1988 10th anniversary TII for $5k. Are there any problems with this year or with the 10th anniversary edition?
I don't know the condition on the car yet so don't ask but is this a decent price on this car(if it was maintained like they say it was)? I really love the FC's but I need more info before I spend the money

Re: looking into a 7
You will spend alot more money on the FC than the teg. ESPECIALY a turbo model. You will need to invest alot of money right off the bat preparing the car. Aftermarket water temp, boost guage, turbo timer, all new plugs, wires, rad caps, ect ect.
After that then you can assess the car. Tell weather or not it is running properly and such. So unless you want to be quite involved with your cars i dont suggest an RX7 is a good step from the teg.

Re: looking into a 7
I love working on my car. I'm in training to be a mechanic. But I also need a car to take me to work everyday. The FD's are just too expensive and I've heard some problems with over heating, especially here in Phoenix

Same Here, If You Are Use To An Acura Or A Honda Then You Will Be Dissappointed. Hey What Year Is Your Teg. You Will Spend More Money Then You Will Pay For The Car..

Re: looking into a 7
my teg is a 91. I kinda figured i would have to spill some green on the car. What about the NA FC's are they any better in reliability

Re: looking into a 7
I just found a new RX. It's a '90 convertable 150k miles, 5sp, HKS exhaust, evreything works, engine was checked out by a rotary specialist, they're asking 4995 but I think I can get them down to 3500.
Is this a good deal?

Re: looking into a 7
if everything checked out and you know the guy to be a rotary specialist, then Yes that is one hell of a deal.

you should just buy my car for $5500. 6k on rebuilt/street ported engine from rotary ressurection, new clutch, only 88k on the body, and all the other goodies in my signature... yea you should do that
