need help on engine problem on honda accord

i dont know if my last one made it through or not for the description.well i have a 98 honda accord ex with automatic trans and a 2.3 engine.what im trying to find out is why my oil is going into my antifreeze.i'm pretty sure its oil cuz it never used oil before and my oil was barley on the dipstick and the antifreeze is chocolate milk looking.so my friend took my car and put a new head gasket on and checked the heads for leaks from a machine shop.he put a new water pump, timing belt, and new belts on also in september 30ish then i went to have the coolant flushed so it would be really clean for winter and properly treated.when i was going to do that it was doing the same still the oil was already about 2 quarts low and barely on the dipstick.so im trying to find out what could do this or if there is a common problem for this and maybe it could help me fix the car properly.hope to here something cheap n good to my ears.

Re: need help on engine problem on honda accord

so your saying your cooling system is clean? and the engine doesnt burn oil, does it leak oil? leaking oil could make it lose oil, dirty cooling system could make it brownish, coolant is pretty much 50-75%wat, so if it was oil, you would see, but if it looks like it blended in, then i dont think its oil

I THINK I know what you mean, but PLEASE use correct punctuation and capitalization. Your post is VERY hard to read.

Where you're losing oil is impossible to tell at this point. Did you get your cooling system flushed? If so, how is it now? Need more information.

I'm sorry my cooling system is not clean. It's chocolate milk looking. It's never burned oil out the exhaust or burned it like saturn engines. It's not bad coolant like it was never changed, but it looks like it's contaminated antifreeze.

I'm sorry you can't read my information. It's loosing oil and look like its in the coolant(radiator). I din't get the coolant flushed cuz i thought it was the same as before my friend did the head.My friend after he did the head he cleaned it out good enough with just a hose and not a coolant machine.I'm hoping to find out if it might be a engine block, passage through a coolant area,or even a head gasket.I just dont understand where it"s coming from as in the problem with oil in the antifreeze.Hope you have any information or if anybody else does hope to hear from anyone that has dealt with the problem and has a solution.

If your friend replaced the head gasket, then it should be alright. Hate to say, but it probably is the block. There really aren't that many places where coolant and oil can interchange. One can be the head gasket, but you already fixed that. The other has to be something inside your block.

Check something though... It is highly likely that you should see some coolant in your oil as well. If not, and you are sure that it is oil in your coolantm then the crack is probably is on the supply side of your oil system right after the oil pump. Either case you probably need a new block. Hey look on the bright side, you can do a H series motor swap

Re: need help on engine problem on honda accord

If you're leaking oil, you'll know it. You'll have a mess on your driveway, and/or the underide of your engine/xmission will be soaked with oil. I suspect tha you are definitely leaking oil into your cooling system. Since the head gasket has been changed perhaps you have a hairline crack in your engine block. A contaminated coolant will look "emulsified" as the oil has already partially mixed with the coolant due to high temperature. One thing to try is remove your radiator cap (make sure it's depressurized or cold), Start your engine and check the coolant for any bubbles as your engine warms up. Also check for any blue smoke when you gun your engine for possible ring, valve problems. Good luck.
