how many miles can I expect ?
Anyone able to tell me if I should be able to get 300k out of a Previa ? There is a 91 here in my area, that has 246k on the clock. Wondering if it might be worth picking up and driving for a year or so. Thanx very much.

Re: how many miles can I expect ?
My wife has a co-worker with a 1991 with over 300k and has never had any major work done. It is a manual transmission. We just bought a 1991 with an auto trans today!! Hope that it makes it well into the 300 zone!!

Re: how many miles can I expect ?
I've seen one over 300k and many in the mid200s in nice condition.
I'm buying a 1993 with 164000 miles for $1950 tomorrow. With proper care, oil change with synthetic oil, trans-fluid change and tune-up with NGK-irridium plugs I'd expect it to go 350,000 or so. You may need to change a fuel pump or a starter after a while. |

Re: how many miles can I expect ?
I have a 1991 Toyota Previa AWD and it works great. I put about 3000 km on it in the past two weeks. It uses no oil at all and currently has 428500 km on it. When this one finally dies I'll be looking for another.

Re: how many miles can I expect ?
I have a 92 Previa Delux model with 240K miles and running very strong. No major work other that SAD (Accessory Drive Shaft) which was replaced about 6 months ago.
These are very good built, very reliable vans. A/C though is not very strong. |
