smell when idling

i had my power steering pump replaced about a month ago on my 98 GP, but im not sure if that has anyhting to do with this, but whenever im idling at a red light or stopped completely, i start to smell a burning type odor (friend said it smelled kinda like sesame seeds) it gets really strong at sometimes, smells like some kind of grease burning off or something. any ides?

I would check the steering pump and rack and pinion connections for leaks. It sounds like something is leaking and getting onto the pipes. I suspect a loose connection due to the fact that any residual from the pump change should be gone by now.
