Smile Got My Valve Cover Powder Coated

Just the front since you can't see the back cause of the blower. Got the Lower IM in for coating now, should have it by next week.

I was chating with TC from Nextgen, he advises NOT to powder coat the SC. The upper IM ok, but go with polishing on the SC.

yes, VERY significant reasons. The SC has to be disassemled to be coated. Precise reassembly is critical. If the screws are too close thay will smash each other. If they are too far apart they won't generate boost. There is a micro-fine coating on the edge of the screws, it's like the screws touch but don't, in a way. This creates a seal between the screws. The upper IM/intercoller can be coated. Only the core has to be removed, that's not a problem. On the other hand, polishing does not require disassembly. I might go with polishing the upper IM & SC. This will be an over-the-winter project-maybe.
