Cobra colors WOW!

Hi guys,

I just saw some nice paint, cobra colors. Is it a good kind of paint for models? The colors they sell seems very nice, lots of great colors! There is only one bad thing, they don't seems to ship in Canada? Is it true? Is their any way to buy a couple of jars if I live in Canada?

Their new fire pearl series should be awesome, can't wait to get some jars!

Thanks a lot, hope I will be able to get some.

Re: Cobra colors WOW!

if you would try a search, you would see many people using that paint. The owner is even a member here

and Yes, they don't ship to Canada. Unless you know someone in US, there is no way to get them. (and even then, you have good luck they won't pass the border)

Re: Cobra colors WOW!

Do asearch for Cobra colors, they are extremely well recieved. There are several threads on this. He cannot ship to Canada due to the postal systems policies on hazardous materials. Leon is also a member here. I had a few shipped to my in-laws in the US and they shipped them to me when they crossed the border. I beleive there are several people that live along the border that have their own PO Box in the US and do the same thing.

EDIT: Check out this thread about the pearls. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=478990

Cobra Colors are awesome. Unfortunately lacquer paint can not be shipped outside of the US.

I've painted about 15 cars with Cobra Colors paints.
Do a search in the completed and in-progress section, and you will see many CC painted cars

The fire pearls are a new line of pearls that are painted over a black basecoat.

This one has been painted with the Fire Pearls paint system. The owner of Cobra Colors sent me Lilac Pearl as a sample, and it's fantastic. I can not wait to get some of the other colors now.

Re: Cobra colors WOW!

Thanks for your help guys, sorry for not searching before :-(

If I send it to one of my friend in the US who come to Canada often, do you think that he will be able to bring them with him or this is illegal as passing drugs to Canada?

Re: Cobra colors WOW!

Ah, nice, I wish I could see what some of the other colors looked like. Maybe I'll get Cobra Colors to use on my Enzo rather than Alcad II prismatic.

I use a lot of the prismatics, so basecoating in black is normal for me :-D

Re: Cobra colors WOW!

If you drive it across the border, it's ok. The reason they can't be shipped is that they're hazardous materials and cannot be shipped by air, and the USPS doesn't have Ground that goes "overseas."

I have bought alclad 2 from the US before (I live in Australia) and had no problems. I had it sent by surface mail however. Can lacquer paints be sent outside the US if it is by surface mail (boat). If this is the case then I might try and get some cobra colors paint.
