My MGB would not shut off when the switch was turned off. I checked out the anti run-on switch, and that was OK. Then, I replaced the two DIODES under the dash. That may haved helped some but the car still runs fron 5 to 10 seconds after the switch is turned off.
I plan to put a KILL switch on the ignition unless someone knows somwthing better to do.

Is it dieseling or actually running? When I had this problem with my '78, the anti-runon valve was faulty. Check the vacuum routing to the valve.

I fixed the problem. I put a DIODE between the altornator and the ignition light. Apparently it was getting a "sneaky route" from this light. Probally because the altonator was changed.
