help on x5

All my electric windows work from there own swithes but the drivers
console on the drivers door will not let me open the other windows,
all the buttons are lit up but nothing works , except for my eletric window and mirror

when i use the remote it locks all the doors except for the drivers door

And when i set off it says there is a door open

all the problems seem to be related to the drivers door

when you open any of the doors except for the driver door the interior lights work

Any body got any ideas?

Thanks

Re: help on x5

sounds like corosion on the body to door connector open the drivers door and the big rubber boot running to the main body thats it if mostuer get in there it can cause problems like this ive seen it on all types of bmw and other make as well i would start there remove the boot and disconnect it and look at the connector pin if green looking thats your problem you can try and clearn them but that probly wont fix it the pins will have to be replaced
