Fan/blower wont blow air
Hello,
I have a 94' Ranger 4.0 ...The ac/heater fan stopped blowing air. I unbolted it and it did spin around rather quickly and consistently while turned on but not enough to get the air through the vents. I then replaced my 'blower motor resistor' ...which enables the fan to operate at four different speeds... no change at all. Apparantly the fan, although spinning around quickly, should be spinning substantially faster..?? ..and therefore needs replacing..?? ..or is there some kind of duct that opens when you turn the fan on that's stuck closed?

ok try this one, next time you take blower motor out check to see if you have a blocked evaporator core or maybe insulation foam in ducting. try turning to heater and see if blows any better or through a different vent (defroster at windshield ). blocked evaporator will severely cut down on air flow. while you have the morotr out, try shooting air thru the duct and see if anything comes out. ( if no mold on evaporator fins ) good luck.

Re: Fan/blower wont blow air
How difficult is it to remove the blower? I have a tree leaf in my 2002 Ranger blower. Thought it would finally get dried out and break up but it is persistent! I've put up with the clicking for two weeks already. If the blower is easy to remove (and the leaf), I'll do it.
