head bolt question

can some quickly tell me what the torque spec is for the 92 si head when tighting like the first stage and the second stage tightening im in the middle of wsapping heads and forgot i lent my manual to one of my friends

I don't have a civic helm manual, so what I would probably do is go get it back from him

i really dont mean to be rude but was your post in any way usefull or do you think your just using up bandwidth i would have called my friend to come drop it off but he live some 80miles away and is also on vaction

but really anyone else out there know what the torque specs are ?

First step is 22lb/ft, Second step is 53lb/ft.

is that all man isnt that kinda low i remeber reading it was like 120lb/ft or somewhere up there?

Don't be one of the many who have sheared off head bolts in your block. Trust me that's you're worst nightmare and VERY easy to do. The only torque specs close to that number in that general area are the axle nuts and the hold your solid steel suspension components together. Head bolts are flimsy little things that go thru your aluminum head into your aluminum block. Trust the manual Luke.
